How TASR (Tax Agent registration), ASP accreditation, and FTA approvals work — and where ETX sits.

Types of FTA accreditation

Tax Agent (individual, after exam + experience), Approved Service Provider (ASP, for e-invoicing), Tax Software Registration (TASR, for tax-prep software).

TASR — Tax Agency Software Registration

The FTA recognises specific software platforms as compliant with VAT 201 requirements. Registration involves a fee (AED 10,000 post-approval) and ongoing audits.

ASP for e-invoicing

A separate accreditation under the new e-invoicing regime. ASPs handle the actual submission to the FTA on the merchant's behalf.

ETX status

TASR registration: in progress. E-invoicing: live via Complyance integration. Tax Agent service: provided through KWS Fintech (parent advisory practice).
