FTA accreditation, explained.

How TASR (Tax Agent registration), ASP accreditation, and FTA approvals work — and where ETX sits.

How TASR (Tax Agent registration), ASP accreditation, and FTA approvals work — and where ETX sits.

Types of FTA accreditation

Tax Agent (individual, after exam + experience), Approved Service Provider (ASP, for e-invoicing), Tax Software Registration (TASR, for tax-prep software).

TASR — Tax Accounting Software Register

The FTA recognises specific software platforms as compliant with VAT 201 requirements. Registration involves a fee (AED 10,000 post-approval) and ongoing audits.

ASP for e-invoicing

A separate accreditation under the new e-invoicing regime. ASPs handle the actual submission to the FTA on the merchant's behalf.

ETX status

TASR (Tax Accounting Software Registration): application in progress. E-invoicing: in development, launching in the coming weeks — submissions will route through an FTA-listed Accredited Service Provider (ASP). Tax Agent service: provided through KWS Fintech, our parent advisory practice. We only describe accreditations once they are formally granted.
